Odessa is one of the four largest cities in Ukraine, and it is the largest port on the territory of the Black Sea coast. The population is about 1 million inhabitants. Odessa city is often called "Odessa - mama ." Name was attached during the time of the Russian Empire, when the city was the capital of the state of the criminal world. In general, the name of Odessa on the legend comes from the name of the colony Odesos belonged to the ancient Greeks. Odessa is one of the cities in Ukraine, which have their own anthem, emblem and flag.

Odessa has a great climate, winter is soft , warm autumn and spring . Summer is hot and sultry . Access to the sea and the presence of many beaches make the city one of the most popular cities for tourists. Odessa is mentioned as one of the best cities for quality of life in Ukraine according to the magazine "Focus" in 2011.
